The Institute of Experimental Medicine (IEM) brings together interdisciplinary research groups investigating the mechanisms that shape inflammation, its evolution, and its consequences in health and disease.

By combining experimental medicine, microbiology, immunology, systems biology, proteomics and evolutionary approaches, we seek to understand inflammation across biological scales, from molecular mechanisms to whole-body physiology.
